Popular online poker site welcomes players as it returns to paradise this October for $500,000 Guaranteed tournament.
San Jose, Costa Rica – June 19, 2012 – TruePoker is all about sending Americans to hot destinations. Days after returning from Lima, Peru for the Latin Series of Poker, where 72 TruePoker players competed for over $675,000, TruePoker is switching its focus to another land-based tournament—its signature Punta Cana Poker Classic. This Sunday at 7:30pm ET, the US-friendly online poker site is guaranteeing more $5,000 Punta Cana Poker Classic packages. Thirty seats in Sunday’s tournament will be handed out daily through guaranteed qualifiers.
"We just got back from Lima, Peru, where our players took part in an unbelievable inaugural event," stated Michael Harris, TruePoker spokesperson. "But forget about having a second to breathe. We're already making plans to send more and more players to our next big tournament in Dominican Republic this October, and we can't wait to party with them in paradise and play for another $500,000 guaranteed."
Confirmed to attend the poker tournament that runs from October 12 through 18 at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino is Michael "The Punter" Nugent, who conquered the LSOP Main Event just last week. A total of 451 players showed up to play, pumping the prize pool up from the guaranteed $500,000 to $676,500. Nugent has already used a small slice of his $157,520 first place prize money to secure an all-inclusive Punta Cana Poker Classic package.
Online poker players interested in joining him can take part in Sunday's guaranteed Super Satellite at 7:30pm ET where at least two $5,000 Punta Cana Poker Classic prize packages will be guaranteed. Each package includes one Main Event buy-in, 6-nights hotel accommodations for two, all-you-can-handle food and drinks (alcohol included) for two, airfare up to $800, a $1,500 resort credit, and more.
Sunday's Punta Cana Poker Classic Super Satellite costs $250+5 to get into. Players can choose to register directly or win their way through a low buy-in qualifier. TruePoker is guaranteeing 30 seats in Sunday's tourney every day through a series of qualifiers. |
