Bodog UK Acquires UK Gambling License
Bodog UK announced its receipt of a remote and non-remote gaming license granted by the UK Gambling Commission. Bodog UK becomes the fifth licensee of the Bodog Brand, licensed by the UK to operate remote gaming, bricks and mortar betting shops and provide gambling software on a B2B basis. Bodog Brand to leave the US market at year end
In order to ensure the brand's expansion is not affected by negative perceptions, both in the UK and elsewhere in emerging markets such as Asia, where Bodog88 is already successful, a decision has been made to withdraw the Bodog brand from the US market at the end of 2011.
